Editing and Coaching

Whether it’s creating a daily writing practice, restructuring a messy project, building your craft skills for a specific manuscript, or navigating the freelance market, my focus is always to identify a writer’s goals to help them realize their specific and unique vision. I’ve worked on projects ranging from short essays and pitches to book proposals and full manuscripts. To learn more about how we might work together, email me at

I’ve taught writing classes for high school, college, graduate, literary organizations, non-profit organizations, and community groups. Topics range from fiction and non-fiction workshops, elements of craft, novel mapping, “Modern Love” intensives, environmental writing, Southern gothic 101, and food writing. If you’re interested in setting up a single class or a longer series, email me at

Anya’s classes, editing, and coaching can be tailored to public health workers, journalists, lawyers, non-profit organizations, and any other professional seeking to improve their storytelling in order to widen their reach.
